Nightstick

An arms-length stick made of wood, metal, plastic or composite which may be used by law enforcement, corrections, security and military personel for self-defense and control of combative and non-compliant subjects.

The nightstick is sometimes called a Baton, Billy club, Billy stick, Blackjack, Bludgeon, Club, Cosh, Cudgel, Paddy whacker, Prosecutor, Sap, Stick or Truncheon.
