Backstage oilup

Backstage is a world away from the order and magic the paying public laps up from their seats. This is not the carefully organized and choreographed final presentation, but rather the last minute preparations, the finishing touches to posing trunks and posing oil, a last set of reps to rush blood to pumped muscles.
Piles of clothes, gym bags, cosmetics and paraphernalia litter every free surface, and muted conversation and nervous laughter fails to hide the underlying tension in the waiting area.

Many men here have support people – friends, buddies, 'sponsors' or fans to help them prep, not right back stage, but close to it, and these are the only people on your side.

Everyone knows this is a zero-sum game, and virtually everyone in the room is the enemy. Only one can be first, only one can be the Overall Winner. If I'm going to win, then you have to lose.

It's highly unlikely that anyone here thinks it, but for many, tonight is the summit and peak of their physical perfection. Never again in their lives will they look as perfect as they do now. Like the saying goes, take a picture, it'll last longer.

Weeks and months of hard work, discipline, diet and monitored medicinals have culminated in the body they bring to tonight's show, and, if they’ve calculated correctly, they'll peak tonight.

Nobody can hold onto that perfection for long, and even tomorrow morning these men will begin to lose the chisled edge they've worked so hard to achieve.

    1. Personally think posing oil works well under stage lighting - not to mention applying the oil is one of the few legitimate opportunities one has to feel up a muscled bod.

regarding your observation about why we use "THIS UKY,FUCKING SKIN DARKENING SHIT" - the reason as you so succinctly put it is that: "IT SHOWS OFF MUSCLE". ideally as part of our pre-contest prep, we should get as tanned as possible to counter the harshness of the stage lights and show off our development to their fullest extent. however because of the harshness of the glaring lights (and yes the intensity of the stage lights can vary from show to show) we need to supplement/augment even the darkest tan we have attained (either naturally or thru the use of tanning beds) as every cut and every striation needs to be fully displayed and shown off, which can mean the difference in how we place in the contest.

personally for me, i maintain a deep tan all year long, but even with my deep tan, i still have to rely on my repeated layering of protan before any show. unlike you, i like that "SMEARED IN SHIT" look! i like being uber tanned as i know it shows off and showcases all the many hours of blood, sweat and tears that i have invested into my body. and yes i am sure that you know "ALLOT OF BODYBUILDER STUDS,AND THEY LOOK FINE WITHOUT THAT UGLY FUCKIN DYE ON THEM" and yes, they may look fine in a day to day context, but until you have been in a contest, you do not realize that "UKY,FUCKING SKIN DARKENING SHIT" can do for you.

and as to your query: "WHY ARE THEY STILL DOIN IT!!!" i hope you know why now.

you are so right in your observation - "Personally think posing oil works well under stage lighting" and as for "applying the oil is one of the few legitimate opportunities one has to feel up a muscled bod." - just tell me when you are available! thank you for the great blog!
